Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Doki Dok (the “Service”), provided by Agdir Drift AS, org. nr. 921 893 639, Waglesgårdveien 38, 4844 Arendal, Norway (“we”, “us”).

By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you use the Service for an organisation, you accept them on its behalf and confirm you are authorised to do so. The Privacy Policy and the data processing terms on the GDPR page are part of these Terms.

2. The Service

Doki Dok lets you store, organise, share, send, and sign documents. It includes a document vault, an email inbox for receiving documents, shared rooms for working with others, templates, and electronic signatures. We may change or improve features over time; we will not remove core functionality from a paid plan during a paid period without notice.

People you invite into rooms or ask to sign do not need a paid account, but they must follow these Terms when using the Service.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Give accurate information and keep your email account secure, since we sign you in by email.
  • Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

  • Store or share content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others
  • Process personal data without a legal basis
  • Commit fraud, money laundering, or forge signatures or documents
  • Send spam or malware, including through inbox or room email addresses
  • Try to access accounts or data that are not yours, or disrupt the Service
  • Reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it

We may suspend access if you break these rules or put the Service or others at risk. Where reasonable we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

5. Your content

You keep all rights to the documents and content you upload. You give us permission to host, copy, process, and display that content only as needed to provide the Service to you and the people you share it with. We do not use your content to train AI models and do not sell it.

You are responsible for your content and for having the right to upload and share it. For personal data in your content you are the controller and we are your processor, under the terms on the GDPR page.

6. Electronic signatures

The Service records who signed, when, and how, and seals the result. The legal effect of a signature depends on the signing method, the type of document, and the law that applies to it. Under the eIDAS Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 only a qualified electronic signature has the same effect as a handwritten one. You are responsible for choosing a signing method suitable for your document and for checking who you ask to sign. We do not give legal advice.

7. Plans and payment

Paid plans are sold through Polar.sh as merchant of record, and payment is subject to Polar’s terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Prices include VAT where applicable. We will give at least 30 days’ notice of price changes, which apply from your next renewal.

If you are a consumer in the EEA, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a paid subscription. By starting to use a paid plan straight away you ask us to begin the service during that period, and if you withdraw you pay for the part already provided.

8. Availability and support

We work to keep the Service available and your data safe, including with regular backups, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where possible. Keep your own copies of documents that are critical to you.

9. Our rights

The Service, its software, design, and the Doki Dok name belong to Agdir Drift AS. These Terms give you a right to use the Service, not ownership of it. If you send us feedback we may use it freely.

10. Liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, lost business, or loss arising from the content or validity of documents you create or sign. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, or NOK 1,000 if you use a free plan.

These limits do not apply to loss caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct, and do not affect rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

11. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time from your settings or by emailing us. We may end the agreement with 30 days’ notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these Terms. Before your data is deleted you can export it; deletion then follows the timeline in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as liability and governing law, survive termination.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will give at least 30 days’ notice of material changes by email or in the Service. If you do not agree, you can close your account before the changes take effect.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. We will first try to resolve any dispute with you directly. Otherwise disputes go to Agder District Court (Agder tingrett). If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live and may bring proceedings there, and you can contact the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) or the consumer authority in your country.
